The Pennhurst Asylum Horror Campout

A 13-hour long, overnight, interactive horror Summer Camp experience. Campers will get to explore the mysteries and terrors of the Pennhurst Asylum grounds, Complete challenges, solve puzzles, participate in a ghost hunt and try to survive the night as an army of monsters descend upon the camp.

The Pennhurst Horror Camp out is an Immersive Simulated Horror Summer camp experience. This Summer Camp Experience is for those 18 years and older only.

We offer two very distinct levels of interaction.  

All Levels are for campers 18 years and over

Juniors Campers- can opt in for a less extreme night. With a lower level of intensity from our monsters.

Senior Campers- Will be subjected to the full Horror of Pennhurst Asylum. This is a full immersion Experience.

All campers will be able to take a break and escape the horrors in our No Scare Zones

All campers will have the chance to take part in Quests that are happening all night around the Grounds.

From puzzles to physical challenges and a real ghost hunt at one of our most haunted buildings - there is something for everyone!

Camp Activities

Prior to Arrival

48 hours before arrival all Campers will receive an email with their Camp Guide book. The Guide book will contain Directions to the site and parking instructions, a map of the Camp grounds, Background info on the summer camp and other helpful tips.

We will have a limited number of printed copies of the camp guide book on site.

Upon Arrival

Parking Lots open at 6pm sharp

Must show ID before admitted. NO EXCEPTIONS.

All Campers will be asked to Sign Event Waiver

All Campers will have bags searched for Contraband.

Ticket Check-in/Tent Space Assignment

Camp Announcements: NO ADMITTANCE AFTER 7:30PM

Campers choose their level of Intensity Junior or Senior Camper .

Campout

From 7:30pm till 8:30am Campers Will be Immersed in a world of horror set at the fictional Camp Crab Hill.  A summer camp built right next to the Pennhurst Asylum.

Our dedicated camp counselors will Guide you around the site, from one Quest to the next. Campers will have to work together to solve puzzles and find a way to Survive the night!

Departure

Camp will end at 8:30am

 

Please read the following terms and conditions before your ticket purchase:

Pennhurst Asylum Horror Camp out may include total darkness, water spray, uneven surfaces, steps up and down, strobe lighting, latex, narrow tunnels, simulated body fluids, spaces which require you to bend down while walking, sudden loud noises, live actors, as well as fog and scent effects which are intended to startle and frighten you. IF YOU ARE ASTHMATIC PLEASE BE CERTAIN TO BRING YOUR INHALER AS A PRECAUTION! Pennhurst Asylum uses Fog and even Fire effects that may irritate asthmatic symptoms!

Strobe lights are in use.

No alcohol permitted on the property

Please leave all metal objects in your vehicle.

Proper shoes are necessary- flip flops, sandals or high heels are not recommended

Pennhurst Asylum is not recommended for people with heart or back problems, pregnant women, people prone to seizures or anyone who has an affliction that is made worse by fear, anxiety or flashing lights.

YOU PARTICIPATE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

When Opting for the Senior Camper Experience you may be handled, moved, bound, hooded and chained by our actors. All campers may witness some offensive verbal content, which may be considered offensive in nature. This content is part of the experience and is presented to enhance the realism of the event.

You will not be placed in real danger at any time.

Persons under 18 years of age will not be admitted

Smoking is only permitted in approved marked areas

Absolutely no weapons or any items that could be used as a weapon.

Do not deface or breaks set pieces

Do not touch the actors.

The actors WILL touch you, they WILL NOT harm you.

Stay within the marked areas

Follow all directions that are given by your camp counselor

Do not bring or wear costume masks, costumes or imitation weaponry of any kind.

Personal medical masks are encouraged.

Video recording is not permitted inside of any attractions

Pictures and video is permitted outside only

No professional video or photo equipment is permitted.

No glass bottles

No open beverage containers

Pennhurst will not be held liable for the loss of ANY item.

Pennhurst is not liable for your vehicle or contents

Participation in Camp events is not mandatory but it is strongly encouraged.

There is time for sleeping during the event; however campers who opt in for the senior camper experience may experience interruptions in sleeping by our monsters.

Once purchased tickets cannot be modified.

Tickets must be presented upon entry. Either printed or on a Smart phone

By purchasing a ticket you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and taking part is at your own risk.

Group Discounts for parties of 6-10 Campers can be arranged.
